Pretending to be the sister of Aude Thensiau, Hélène worked a few years at the infirmary of the hospital where Aude is been treated.

Hélène Thensiau(°13/04/1976, Marseille, France) makes sculptures and performances. 
By merging several apparently conflicting worlds into new ones, Thensiau takes the spectator on a journey of growing serenity. Moments are depicted that only exist to punctuate the human drama in order to clarify our existence and to find poetic meaning in everyday life.
Her sculptures sometimes radiate a cold and latent violence. At times, disconcerting beauty emerges. The inherent visual seductiveness, along with the compactness of her shows, further confuses the assimilation of their diverse structure and definitions. The work incorporates time as well as space – a fictional and experiential universe that only emerges bit by bit. Hélène Thensiau currently lives and works in Hamburg.
