Stann Zooeydóttir (°Bolungarvik, Iceland) are historians, and filmmakers. 
As archivists, Zooeydóttir reflect on the closely related subjects of archive and memory, by using an ever-growing amount of footage provided by Various Artists, to create autonomous artworks. Their research is both focused on the need for ‘clear’ narratives and the question whether anecdotes ‘fictionalise’ history.
They can be considered being the note-takers of Various Artists. Collecting, altering, and deconstructing the material by applying abstraction as multilayered images arise. Their works conceals the original structure, resulting in the fact that the artists can easily imagine an own interpretation without being hindered by the historical reality. Stann Zooeydóttir currently live and work in Brussels.
