For Made in Luxembourg, Various Artists purchased this “made in low wage countries” garments in a Fast Fashion Store. They were undone/unstitched and then sewn together again by hand. During the production Various Artists literally followed the (sewing) steps of the underpaid anonymous worker who assembled the product. For this work they were paid at the same rate as the textile worker.
In order to be able to purchase these works of art at online selling price, the buyer must donate the missing value to support the cause of worker's rights. The missing value is calculated as the "Made in Luxembourg" price and takes into consideration the working hours of the piece produced and remunerated at local Luxembourg' rates, where it was concluded..
