Mer Mecanique
An eco-technological spectacle that creates more jobs
A mechanical field of triangular solar panels, closely connected as a patchwork, simulates the undulating motion of a watery surface. With optimal exposure to sunlight, the panels, once charged, are instructed to rotate away until they are no longer aligned with the sun’s rays. In this way, they push the adjoining panels into a better position for charging, etc. This creates a natural wave motion that accelerates by noon and slows down towards the evening to stop at night.
